Great little neighborhood authentic Italian. Veal Parmesan was perfect along with the side salad and homemade house dressing. The homemade creamy tomato soup hit the spot on a cold Winter night. Husband had the spaghetti bolognese with Italian sausage which he devoured in 5 minutes. Plan to be back especially in the spring to enjoy the outdoor garden area. Only suggestion is to serve warm bread and remove the plastic covers off the tables otherwise the decor is nice. And they serve Coke products which is a plus!!! They have a good selection of wine and beer too.

The food is amazing and the owners are super friendly. My only reason for the three star rating is the prices. The food is pretty expensive for carry out only. I do recommend giving them a try.

Amazing!! The service was exceptional!! The pork chop was very good. The meatloaf just as good. I would highly recommend this hidden gem.

It is not just catering. We stopped in and pick up carryout. It was fantastic. We ordered four things off the menu and they were all incredible. I was shocked at the quality and freshness of the food. Add this to your list of places to eat!

This place is not very easy to see I must have passed by it a hundred times before they put out a bright red sign that says Italian carryout. The shop itself is like something you would expect to see up north lots of Michigan made products and even prepared frozen meals. We decided to go with carryout even though there appeared to be a small dining area set up so maybe they also do table service we didn't ask but will next time. The meat sauce was amazing and meatballs were good and not dry at all we loved the house salad dressing the only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because the bread was lacking it seemed to be more or less a french baguette slice with some garlic butter but all bread aside I will be going back and maybe ill pick up some prepared meals to stock in my freezer as well.

Just had the most amazing Tuscan grilled chicken salad.....last week had breaded pork chops that were just like mom makes. This restaurant has the feel of home and the food to make it taste like home. You must try, u can also dine in now...which is a huge plus.

Picked up dinner and not only was it expensive for what you get, the food was aweful. Ordered Chicken Parm - seriously the easiest thing to make and the chicken was raw so nasty. The sauce was mediocre at best. The garlic bread was a soggy wet piece of bread and seemed like it had been frozen. Took a long time to get my order considering everything was supposed to be ready to go. Lasagna was luke warm and hard as a rock on the bottom layer. Would not return. They took back the chicken but still not worth returning.

Just moved to the area in April, I stopped in here to try their food and I was impressed. I am been in the restaurant business since I was 12, and I know good food when I see it. I ordered the chicken Parmesan and Lasagna. It came with two side salads. The Italian was great. The lettuce was crisp and a great mixture of romaine and iceberg. I honestly thought it was going to be a store bought bagged salad, but no, you can tell it's fresh and cut in house. Croutons were crunchy!! Main course. The chicken Parmesan was great. I could tell the chicken was fresh and not frozen, and breaded in house. Sauce was great. Lasagna was terrific. The ricotta cheese and mozzarella blend in great with the sauce. Only problem I had was, I ordered the Half portion of lasagna, and I should've had the full order cause it was soo good! Garlic bread was FRESH Italian bread that was hot and crisp when I got home. I am so happy to be so close to this place and I look forward to tasting the rest of their menu!

Bon-a-rose has been recently expanding their services by not only doing catering, but you can order carry out small meals, or even order ahead. After hearing some local promotional sales on Facebook about it, I stopped by after work for carry out dinner. I ordered the cheese lasagna. It comes with a tiny side salad and some garlic bread. It's a pretty decent value for $12 since my portion of lasagna was pretty generous and the sides were decent. What garners this place a 3 star instead of a 4 or higher is the food itself. 1) my side salad's crutons were soggy and icky. The upside was that the salad dressing (their house vinaigrette) was pretty good. You can apparently buy it pro-bottled in the restaurant/store. 2) the garlic bread was really depressing. I think it was one of those pre-frozen breads that's been cut in half, slathered with something that is supposed to resemble garlic and butter, I think, then slapped back together. Awful. 3) the lasagna was good... but not great. It was bland and suffered from some lack of basic seasoning. I think some salt, herbs, or even red pepper flake would have helped here. Perhaps some other ingredient to liven it up? But it was really bland. I am also a little curious how I can order a meal of lasagna and get it hot after 10 minutes? It was probably pre-cooked, then reheated for me. I mean, I DID order lasagna (something that kind of has to be pre-cooked, then reheated), but I'm curious whether I got something pre-frozen, too. Was my lasagna made that day? The place is kind of small and cluttered, the layout is confusing, and the decorations scream "GRANDMA." Also, kinda dusty. I might try something else here. I'm not sure. I wasn't super impressed.

Bon-A-Rose is a family run catering business with a small shop up front. All items are either homemade foods from their family recipes (yum) or items from other Made in Michigan businesses, very cool. I purchased their homemade tortellini and chunky applesauce. The tortellini was cooked perfectly and the sauce was delicious. Their applesauce could pass for apple pie filling! It is so good! But not overly sweet, either. Other Michigan products that I purchased were Blueberry Coffee and Maple Syrup. I really wanted to buy honey, but they were all caked up, not sure what the correct term for that is, but it is probably not kept at the correct temperature/humidity in the store unfortunately. The blueberry coffee is really, really good. I didn't know what to expect. I eat Stella D'Oro vanilla cookies with my morning coffee and it gave them a blueberry kick which was a pleasant surprise. I will definitely be back to try more homemade goodies and for more blueberry coffee. I would definitely look into their catering services if I needed them, too. Note: New Hudson is near: Novi, South Lyon and Milford. Bon-A-Rose is in an old victorian home on Grand River.
